IE Browser Problems

IE6.0
CWShreder
WindowWasher
SpyBot - Search & Destroy

I seem to not be able to load websites with plug-ins.
For example, a stock-ticker, MSN Portfolio, etc...

I have run the above programs, as well as some of the
other suggestions on this forum. Perhaps I have a
security setting that is wrong? Not sure. But i am able
to notice this at the bottom of the browser window when
trying to access and before the "DNS Error" page pops up,

\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm#https://stockgroup.stockgroup.co
m/charts/SGChartDB.asp?


Any suggestions?

Hi,

If you are using Norton Firewall, it is possible that it
is responsible for the problems you are encountering. If you
are using Norton Firewall, you may want to ensure that
plug-ins are not being blocked.

In the event this is a result of the privacy control,
information on disabling it is available here:

http://support.honour.ca/techsolutions.php#norton

Google searches on this issue led to the conclusion that
either Norton or Spyware was the issue.

In the event it was spyware, the following was posted:
http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Note: Only use this tool after ensuring that this is not due
to Norton, and exhausting other possibilities.

Run these two registry edits Reboot when done.
Line 68 right side and line 155 right side here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

If that doesn't help replace the
shdoclc.dll in system32
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?shdoclc

Ran the two registry edits & rebooted -- no change. Then
replaced the shdoclc.dll with the new downloaded file.
No change. Well, yes there was a change....

Now any message displays (at the bottom of the browser)
are in a foreign language! Same with if I right click --
the pop-up menu is not in English.

What the heck did I download from your website????

I would like to have my original config setup, I don't
speak German.
