IE Browser just shuts down

I've had this problem for a while. When I visit certain
sites, for example my hotmail account, the browser just
closes. THis happens on other sites too when I click on
the link or if it's in my favorites and i click on the
site, the browser just shuts down automatically with no
warning. I have the new SP2 version and this hasn't solved
the problem. No virus scans, or diagnostics can find
anything wrong and I have removed any spyware from my
computer and it still is happening. I had to download
another browser just to surf the web. If anyone can help
me it would be great. Thx.
