IE and Acrobat

My IE browser won't open and display PDF files. I have
Acrobat reader 6.0 installed and running just fine.
(My copy of Netscape won't open them, either)

If I open an offline PDF using IE, it launches the reader.

Suggestions on what I'm missing?

May or not make a difference but the Acrobat Reader is up to version 6.01

Uninstall Acrobat Reader and then re-install it from the Adobe Web site.
