IE 8 too slow / wish to revert to IE 7

I have have continuous slow response in loading of web pages since install
IE 8.

Am running on a 5 meg internet connection and at times loading a simple
Amazon page will take 85 seconds. Totally unacceptable when it was
instantious with IE 7.

How do I return to IE 7 as attempts to do so thru MS site informs me of a 2
hr plus download?

Many thanks for your time and hopefully reply.

If you look in 'programs and features' 'Installed updates' uou should see a

Have you tried looking in Add/Remove to see if Internet Exploder 8 is
listed? If not, you're out of luck and may I suggest that you don't be a
guinea pig for Micro$lut again. So, if it can't be rolled back, you
could reformat or use a real browser like Chrome, Firefox or Opera. My
personal preference is Firefox.

But being a guinea pig for ubuntu is better?

Much, I haven't had a problem with Ubuntu since 06 and I installed it
shortly after it came out.

The OP reported back that it worked.

"In Windows Vista, Windows Internet Explorer 8 is not considered to be
a program. Instead, IE8 is categorizing as an update. Thus, you might
not be able to find Windows Internet Explorer 8 in Programs and
Features of Windows Vista.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, go to Control Panel, and click on
Uninstall Programs link or Programs and Features icon. Then on Tasks
pane on the left, click on View installed updates link. Locate and
select Windows Internet Explorer 8 in the list of installed updates,
and then click on Uninstall button. Click on Yes when asked that are
you sure want to uninstall the update. Restart the computer."

Find that hard to believe.

Considering your search abilities, it's not surprising.
Many nVidia/ATI users would beg to differ not to long ago.

I've been using nVidia GF6200FX on three machines with no problems
whatsoever since 06. I have installed Ubuntu on dozens of machines with
both ATI and nVidia with no problems.

And you think you're being cute and clever by posting this url?

He is just being HONEST by letting people know the truth about that crappy
OS called Ubuntu that nobody wants or needs. You know the one, the free OS
that is on less than one percent of the desktops.

You know the one, Ubuntu that won't run ANY of the popular programs out
there?

Very funny. No need to change my posts. EVERYONE knows that Ubuntu is a
piece of crap and people would rather pay for quality Microsoft products
than use a FREE piece of crap that is worth exactly what you pay for it:
NOTHING.
