IE 7 questions

I just installed internet explorer 7.

I can not get my temporary internet folder on my desktop even though under
browser history settings it gives me that option. It appears in the desktop
folder but not on the desktop.

How do you reduce the size of the address bar window and move the icons into
that bar and then reduce the bar height?
