IE 7 and send to mail recipient feature

My system crashed, but I have now reconstituted it on a new hard drive. Just
noticed that I am no longer able to use the "send to an email recipient"
feature. That menu choice has disappeared. What might have caused this, and
how can I get it back?

I'm running Win XP Pro w/SP2.

Thanks.

Hi Bob...
Try the following:
Click Start, Run and type:
regsvr32 sendmail.dll

Next, set your default email client. To set Outlook Express as your
default mail client, type the following commands at a command prompt:
"%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE" /REG
regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles%\Outlook Express\msoe.dll"

For other email clients, use the Internet Options applet in the Control
Panel
You can set the default email program in the Internet Options dialog box.

Open Internet Explorer and click the Tools menu, choose Internet
Options. Click Programs tab and select your email client from the
drop-down list. Once selected, click OK button and close the dialog.

Note that you will require an Administrator-level account to change the
default email client as this is a system-wide setting.

And here are instructions to add locations to the "send to" menu in xp:

Hope this helps.
Take Care...

Thanks, Dee, but I later realized I was looking in the wrong place for the
"send to mail recipient" feature: I was right-clicking within the window
instead of clicking on File to reveal the option. False alarm! Sorry to have
bothered you with it.
