IE 7 & 6 on one pc

Hello,

last week, I updated my internet-explorer to version 7.
Because I make some websites, they have to be ready for IE7. But now, I
don't have IE6 anymore (and of course, they are not realy compatible
with respect to your website-layout).

Is there a way to install IE6 on my pc where IE7 is installed?

The simplest way to do this is to install Microsoft's free Virtual PC
2004, which enables you to install another operating system running in
virtual mode on Windows XP SP2 and up. The other operating system can
have a different version of IE.

For example, on my Windows XP PC I have 3 copies of Windows 98, one with
IE 5.01, one with IE 5.5, and one with IE 6.0

VMware offers a similar free product, VMware Player, that can be used to
do much the same thing, but which supports non-Microsoft operating
systems better. For example, again on my Windows XP PC, I have a copy
of Linux with KDE and its Konqueror browser.

And that is the simplest way to do this???

Look into your Windows Directory. There should be a folder called "IE7"
there. Open it. It might be hidden so do the needful.

Look for a file called iexplore.exe and creat a shortcut to your desktop.

That is IE 6. But it will say it is IE 7 when you check Help > About
Internet Explorer. Pay no heed!

No, my Web site looks the same in IE7 as it did in IE6 to me. What looks
different about it?
