IE 7

How long should we wait (to get the bugs ironed out first) before trying to
install the new IE 7?

I have read conflicting comments that IE 7 (is, is not) rollbackable to IE6,
which is true?

Do I understand from the comments here that Outlook Express is no longer
part and parcel of IE? So does that mean that OE 6 is unchanged and not
affected by the installation of IE7?

TIA

A1. IMHO, IE7's just dandy but I would NOT recommend installing it via
Windows or Automatic Update. Install manually instead from
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx.

Required reading IMHO before installing IE7:

A2. IE7 is fully uninstallable via Add/Remove Programs.

A3. IE7 does not include an OE7; in fact, there isn't an OE7 and won't be.
Installing IE7 /properly/ does not affect OE in any way. That is not to say
that there aren't any "issues" with IE7 installed, but they're all minor
ones with more or less suitable workarounds (e.g., sometimes headers of a
message don't print; sometimes one isn't able to save embedded images).

Those using IE7 are asked to post their comments & questions to and seek
support in microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.
