IE 7.0 and Sharepoint Sites

When I attempt to reach one of myu company's SharePoint sites I get an
immediate message the site is unavailable -- yet the "other brand" browser
gets there just fine with same url

Also when I start IE it takes me to RUNEONCE.MSN.COM where I am presented
with a blank blue background
