When I put a url in for my home page, it will not
remain. Another url replaces my choice. How do I keep

your toolbar has been highjacked...sorry to say. Go to add/ remove programs to see if it is listed there...it won't be, but check anyway. If it is, remove it...but it will likely come back...
Then, you will need to download and install something like; Hijack This.

As told by Ivee, your IE has been hijacked. Simple and best option would be to download Addware from Lavasoft. You can directly download it from the following website:
