When I put a url in for my home page, it will not
remain. Another url replaces my choice. How do I keep
the unwanted url out?

your toolbar has been highjacked...sorry to say. Go to add/ remove programs to see if it is listed there...it won't be, but check anyway. If it is, remove it...but it will likely come back...
Then, you will need to download and install something like; Hijack This.

Click on the link, which will bring you to Major Geeks, a great site that has tons of free downloads for all your hijacker, malware, spyware, trojan, etc. etc. etc. problems.
