IE 6 - won't install

Can anyone help?

When I download IE 6 it will only install about 76% and
then there's a glitch and it stops.

I currently have IE 5.0 and need IE 6.0 for some new
software that I'm trying to install.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
