IE 6 wont close

Does it give you an error message?

Try this maybe it helps:


1. Close all programs
2. Click Start
3. Click Control Panel
4. Click Internet Options
5. Click the Advanced tab
6. Uncheck Enable third-party browser extentions
7. Click Apply
8. Click Ok
9. Close Control Panel
10. Restart the machine
11. Test to see if the same problem occurs

When I try to close IE 6 I get a short beep and the

browser wont close. I can minamise the window but it
will not close.

Have run full virus scans, spyware software, and and up

to date on all microsoft updates. Can any one help?

Also, check your event viewer. It may show you an error message if you are hearing the "beep"

Start>settings>control panel>administrative tools>event viewer
