IE 6 with pack

Anyone having any problems with this updated version of IE6? Since I
downloaded it, I cannot access mcafee online virus scan updates, now I can't
open my home page, I'm constantly getting error messages ie: invalid page
fault in module PDF.ocx at 01680a148, also 'internet explorer has
experienced a problem and will shut down, all information will be lost -
sorry for the inconvenience'. I thought I'd go in and reinstall IE6 updated
but I'm getting that last error message each time. Some sites are fine -
consistently having problems with mcafee. I'm running an old compaq, with
windows 98 and am hooked through a high speed cable internet service.

today from 11to5 mcafee was updating and changing website
adding .us to site if you try now it might work.

Rename pdf.ocx to oldpdf.ocx

If still no joy:


Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit
is with this tool.

p.s Reset the 3rd parby browser setting.


If you do not have a FireWall with Cable modem I suggest
your install one. Search for ZoneAlarm.

And now for the correct answer.....

Your install of Acrobat is old old; damaged. Uninstall the programme and
then update/reinstall.

And then what? What about fixing the problem which is the Acrobat software?
