IE 6 under win982e and secure sites (https:\\)

IE6 works fine until I need to pay for my cart of goodies,
when we start the transition to the secure site io inter
purchaser info., I get a "page can not be displayed after
several minutes. This happens on all sites, I have tried
many. Is this an IE6 problem or a win 98 problem?

Any suggestions?

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
