IE 6 Uncontrolled Variable Text Size

Approximately one week ago, IE 6 began interpreting text
sizes in a strange manner. For example, the Windows Update
text is now so small that I can't read it. I've tried
setting the "Accessibility" pane in IE so that the browser
doesn't take the text settings from certain pages. But,
that doesn't always work. I'm at my wits end. Any
suggestions? And, no, I haven't installed anything
recently except for constant Windows Updates. So, that's
about the only thing I think that would affect it. Thanks
for any response.

What happens when you change text size in IE-View-Text Size?
