Matt

I think I've been hit by some nasty spyware.

When I click on my ie shortcut on desktop it takes over a minute to open.
I've also had my homepage and search page highjaked, along with some pain in
the arse search bar called 'qprprzwdrie' being added to my windows toolbar.

Can anyopne help?

It may be due to malware BHOs. BHO [ Browser Helper Objects ] load with both iexplore and explorer instances. You may try disabling the malware BHO using ToolbarCop, to start with. If disabling a BHO solves the problem, delete the BHO and run Ad-Aware scan.

Using ToolbarCop to remove the unwanted Toolband, Toolbar Icons and BHO:

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate the malware products.
*Update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **
