Search The Web? - No Thanks

I'm having strange problems with IE, even before
SP2, 'search the web' had taken over my homepage - not to
mention many others (some pages were redirected to it).
Even after installing SP2 it was still there. I tried
changing the homepage, removing its many toolbars and
checking the new IE pop-up blocker settings (I was
getting worried about how secure SP2 is when I saw
that 'search the web' had added in sites to the pop-up
blockers 'allow' list! these included 'lop.com'
and 'searchweb2.com')
I've tried Ad-Aware and Spybot and Spyware Blaster - I
run each one regularly, but the problem persists...

CWShredder might help to eradicate that hijack.
(www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/). If it doesn't, HijackThis might help to find
out what's happening (www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html)
