Based on my experience, it is caused by spy ware applications.

I suggest you use your anti-virus application to scan your computer. If you
do not have such a program, you may try the following on-line free virus
scanner.
http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp#top

At the other hand, you can go to following web site to download an
anti-spyware application to check your system:
http://www.spychecker.com/software/antispy.html
