IE 6 mysteriously shuts down

For some "freaking" reason, IE shuts down out of the blue
while surfing different web sites (including all open IE
windows). I only started having this problem when
upgrading to v.6...... I am virus clean. Any ideas???

I have that problem when I right click and go for open in
new window and it close's right up with knowing showing ..
off and on ..

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
