IE 6 long load time

Usaually when I open the IE browser it comes up immediately; now, when I
click on the IE icon to open it, it takes at least 2 minutes to load (bear in
mind my computer is brand new which huge amount of memory and space.) I
thought maybe it was spyware, so I did a scan, cleaned up and restarted my
computer; but the problem still persists. Can anyone advise me what to do???

What did you scan with? One program is seldom enough.

I am having a problem very similar to your's and I can't figure it out either.
I have scoured my computer with anti-virus and anti-spyware scans and
nothing turns up. I am guessing that IE 6 has a corrupted file or something
on my computer, even though I can't detect that.

Have you made any progress on the problem ?

I am having the same problem - since yesterday when I downloaded several
WinXP updates, including .net 1.1. Any fixes would be of interest!
