IE 6 is crashing when i launch it

Everytime I launch IE it closes automatcally after brining
up my default home page. I have tried to remove and
re-install it, but windows will not allow me to remove IE
due to sharing violations. What can I do..i am forced to
use Netscape.

This is possibly being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)
