ie 6 error when browsing microsoft Technet website

When ever I browse the Microsoft Technet website my web browser crashes.

IE 6 error message:
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience."

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this and how to fix it?
