Hello,

I'm trying to access a website that is password protected. When I
access the site, I am presented with the standard IE username and
password pop-up box.

However, the dialog box does not contain the "Remember my Password"
checkbox. Note that I can log in successfully, I just can't get IE to
remember my password.

I am running Windows XP Home, and the web site is running Windows
Server 2003. The site is protected using Integrated Windows
Authentication.

Unfortunately, I need this checkbox due to this issue:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms228998.aspx

Does anyone have any idea why this could be occurring, and how I can
fix it?

Thanks,

Darren.

Hi Frank,
Your Outlook Express Password Is Not Retained in XP
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_oe_passwords.htm

Thanks for the tip -- I checked it out, and it looks like it's a
different problem than the one I'm having.

This tip applies to people that can see the "Remember my password"
option, but that it doesn't actually work for them. In my case, I
can't even see the option.

Any suggestions?

I should also point out that I tried that fix and it didn't address the
issue.

Any other suggestions?

Darren.
