IE 6 does not launch

IE 6 does not launch and returns error message send report.
Attempted to download IE 6 and error message msxml3.dl
error 80072676 requested header not found.

I'm looking for help on this as well. Did yours just
happen tonight? Whenever I double click the explorer icon,
i receive and error report that states, " Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience."

Then it says:
If you were in the middle of something, the information you
were working on might be lost.

Please tell Microsoft about this problem.
We have created an error report that you can send to help
us improve Internet Explorer. We will treat this as
confidential and anonymous.

Error Signature
AppName: iexplore.exe
Appver6.0.yadayada
ModName: winshow.dll

You getting anything like this, or is it just me? I
downloaded Netscape and it works fine.

Yeah, it worked fine around 3:00 pst but didn't after
5:00. I did sys restore, rebooted, everything, nothing
worked. Suspicious since a lot of people just started
experiencing this...I've done the error reporting to
microsoft and what not so hopefully something will worked
out soon. Please post any fixes. Thanks,

This is very odd indeed. I started having this problem
around 5:30 EST and it seems like there's lots of us. Is
this some type of virus that's out there? I've done
virus scans but nothing's come up. I've killed and
reinstalled IE6 about a half dozen times even going to
far as to kill it in the registry. I'm on my laptop now
because my desktop unit is so hosed. I also got a
winshow.dll error showing in my error logs...what do you
guys see in your windows error logs? That and an
ntdll.dll error when this all began.

days. for you guys, can you not open control panel or my
computer or anything also? help help help anyone!

It happend the same to me, i downloaded the service pack
but still the problem is there, so i have no idea what the
problem is, i'm thinking if we download the old version
does it work.

any answers would be good.
