Stephanie

i am using XP and IE6. Recently when i visit certain
webites, it causes the browser to close itself, no error
message no nothing. I am a fanantic about running my
udates so all is well there. (uncheck the 3rd party too)I
have noticed it is mainly at graphic websites doing this.
Could it be a conflict with some type of coding on these
sites?

if you want to check the sites coding, the most recent one
to do it to me is confusedbuthappy.com. It worked fine
last night, but she has been upgrading and changing
things, which is what let me to the idea it was some
conflict.

please help... all suggestion very welcome

thanks in advance,
Stephanie

Open the Internet Options applet in Control Panel
Uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions" on the Advanced tab.
You may also have to set the Home Page to about:blank

Then eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to

http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
