IE 6 can't read some Arabic pages after XP SP2

Hello guyz,

I've downaloded the installation file of XP SP2 and
installed it on my Win XP Proffestional. I've noticed
something strange. I'm not sure if this happened because
of SP 2 or it was already there: When I visit some Arabic
pages, I see some or all of the Arabic text in a strange
script. The encoding is set to Arabic as it should be.
And the script is not a strange Latin letters. It's few
Arabic letters repeated.

The strange thing is I find this in some pages of the
site, and not in some other pages. I asked a friend of
mine who has SP 2, and he didn't face the same problem.
And when I view the source, it's just correct.

The site is www.masrawy.com. And i don't think it's the
only site. It's just an example.
I have a print screen of thep age. If anybody is willing
to help, I send it by email.

Regards and many thanks,

Usually this is due to an "encoding" (selection) issue and
it is always worth TRYING to adjust the encoding before
giving up on a page.

The following is for IE6 on XP but there are similar
settings for other programs and versions (like Outlook,
OE, etc.)

On the IE6 menu Tools is "Encodings" -- auto-select
is the best default setting but you can choose any of the
"recent" settings below it (those you have recently used)
OR you can choose "More" to see a full list of those your
machine is supporting.

I found you sample page www.masrawy.com worked
correctly with both Auto AND with the SPECIFIC
Arabic(Windows).

Frequently Unicode or any of the others may be a better
choice.

If this helps you then I could use a favor (from someone
who reads Arabic fluently)....

Is there are place on the Al Jazeera (Arabic) site where
the "television News 'crawl' is available"?

I need a specific page URL reference if such exists.

On the Al Jazeera channel there is a line of "headline"
script that crawls or scrolls along the bottom of the screen
similar to what you see on CNN, FOX or MSNBC.

I am learning Arabic and would very much like to find a
source for that same (or very similar) info on the Al Jazeera
web site so that I can easily look up words that I don't know.

If that doesn't exist perhaps there is one on the CNN or BBC
Arabic sites?

Thanks.
