IE 6 Browser says "Page can not be displayed" but...

I can get to the internet through the AOL application. So I know it is
not my connectivity. Is my browser corrupted? Will I need to
reinstall?

I have a similar problem. I can access the Web through symantec Security programs, but cannot access through either IE or OUtlook Express.
