IE.6 - automatic shutdown

When I use IE6 it automatically shuts down on some sites.
I have another machine with the same version (6.0.2600)
but it doesn't do this on the other machine. Could this be
a problem with a plug in?

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Yes - it could be a plugin, a script (outdated scripting engine - to
be updated from http://www.microsoft.com/scripting) or Java (outdated
or uninstalled Java VM - get a new one from http://java.sun.com).
