IE 6 and Windows ME -- New windows not maximized

I am using IE 6 and Windows Me.

When I open a link in a new window, the new window is not maximized
automatically.

How do I get Internet Explorer 6 to always open Internet Explorer windows as
maximized?

I want all windows to be maximized, except for windows that come from a
script and get their size from the script (of course).

According to knowledge base article Q257087, the internet explorer uses the
registry to save the current window view. If I need to manipulate the
registry to always have new windows become maximized, what are the registry
values to do this?

Please advise...

I don't believe you can do what you want so consider this workround:

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.
