IE 6 and Outlook Express Printing Problem

Hi everyone. I have recently come across a printing problem that I
can't seem to solve.

Whenever I try to print from Outlook Express or IE, I only get a blank
page. When I click on print preview, I only get a blank page. These
seem to be the only two programs affected by this printing bug as every
other program prints normally.

I don't get any error messages accompanying this printing problem. I
have also tried changing the character encoding, but that hasn't fixed
the problem.

The printer is an HP Laserjet 4000 connected to a Windows XP SP2 machine.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be and how to fix it?

Thank you.

Have you tried reinstalling the HP Laserjet and any available driver
updates?

Hi PA Bear,

I tried all of that before I posted to the group. None of it worked. I
also reinstalled SP2, but that didn't solve the problem.

I'm fearing that I will have to reinstall Windows to correct this problem.

To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you include all of previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.

Are you running IE7 now?

I'm forwarding your question to microsoft.public.windowsxp.print_fax
newsgroup via crosspost. You should get more appropriate help there. Good
luck.

Thank you for your response, PA Bear. Unfortunately, my boss decided
not to wait any longer on trying to solve the issue and ordered me to
reformat and reinstall XP.

Thank you for your help.
