IE 6.0

When I try to download anything with IE 6.0 I get an error
message. "Source file could not be read." Has anyone been
having a similar problem?

A long shot but just in case.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
