IE 6.0 versus Adobe Reader 6.0

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but here
goes... Whenever I link to anything that is a .pdf, IE
opens a new window and launches Adobe Reader... the file
opens but then my IE window is "Not Responding" and I
have to kill IE and restart it. It isn't a huge deal but
it is an inconvenience and it happens every single time I
launch a .pdf file.

I have tried reinstalling Adobe to no avail. All of my
Windows products are up to date too. Help!

acrobat has a preference to open web links in browser it
is a pain i know, that is why i deactivated it, it is
late, i think

edit>preferences>options

deselect view pdf in browser
