IE 6.0 (SP1) Constantly Shuts Down

F

FRZ

The very first time I activate IE, the application shuts
down, returning to the orginal screen (desktop,
application, etc.). The next time I launch IE (almost
immediately), it will go to my home page (MSN); however,
when I try to access the next site, IE shuts down again.
This continues with each page/link/site I try to access.

Does anyone have a clue??? I just finished reloading XP
Professional (SP1) to no avail. I'm running out of
patience and ideas. PLEASE HELP!

No, no spyware. it started to happen as soon as I had to uninstall 03-026
(RPC) for Autodesk VIZ 4. After I found the patch that fixes the problem
with 03-026 and VIZ 4, but the IE problem still persists. I uninstalled and
reinstalled IE6 and repaired IE6 on both machines. These 2 machines are the
only ones that have VIZ 4 and had the file corruption problem in VIZ 4.

I have searched every where and cant find a clue. Any suggestions will be
greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Just posted my own experience with this problem at 1:43 -
IE6 will not open! - before I noticed your posting. All I
can say is that it only gets worse. Please let me know if
you get any help. I`ll do the same.
