IE 6.0 re-install?

I have IE 6.0/SP1 on my laptop using Windows ME. It seems
to be all messed up. I tried to repair using the
add/delete in control panel, but IE is not listed. The
only references to IE are the Updates from MS.

I have a 6.0 SP1 disk. Can I just install over the
existing 6.0?

Hi There,

I have a similar problem in that IE will not download and
display a PDF file... I would like to reload as well (or
find a fix), but, I am concerned about overwriting all my
cookie files which have some valuable information that
would take some time to restore. Therefore I need to move
the cookie files or install such that they are not
overwritten... if you here of anything please send to me
as above.... thanks Jim
