Idle processing

Why on earth Idle processing take 97 % of my CPU power
every 5 seconds. I Ctrl Alt Del to see why my Comp. when
play DVD keep slow down every 5 ~10 second and see this
Idle processing shot up. Can some one explan??

The Idle Process time is the time spent doing nothing. If something is
slowing down your DVD, the idle process isn't the cause.

System Idle Process is exactly what it sounds like.
It is the % of processing power you have waiting for something to do,
doing nothing.

If you are having problems, this is not the cause.
