identitities and inboxes

I am trying to set up my home PC so that I have my email
private and separate from my daughter's email. I have set
up separate identities on Outlook Express so that I am now
able to store my emails privately. We have separate email
addresses on the same server; however when I call up the
server to collect the mail, the server sends back email
addressed to both of us. Similarly Outlook seems unable to
distinguish between the 2 differently addressed sets of
email, and persists in putting it all in the inbox of
whoever asked for it. I would like Outlook to put the
email in the correct inboxes but can't find a way of
associating the correct email address with the correct
Outlook Express identity. Does anyone know if this is
possible? Otherwise there doesn't seem much point to
identities.

It sounds like that you have both accounts setup in each identity.
To check this:
1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Go to Tools -> Accounts.
3. Click on the Mail tab.
4. There should only be one account listed here and that should be the
account that should be associated with the current identity.
5. Remove any extra accounts.
6. Switch to the other identity and do the same check removing any account
that shouldnt be associated with the identity.

I hope this information is helpful.
