Never seen it before.
Does anyone use it?

Not sure why a Firefox user would want it.
1. Enhanced MetaSearch Technology
Don't limit yourself to a single search engine's results. Ideal Search lets you access the intelligence of all the major search engines at once, compare results, and find what you're looking for fast!

Firefox already permits the user to choose from many search engines.
Also there are extensions which allow for metasearch.
2. Increased Privacy and Security
Fends off spyware and other malicious activity by blocking potentially harmful ActiveX controls. Ideal Browser makes it easy to control 1st and 3rd-party cookies and P3P privacy policies too.

Firefox already does this.
3. Block Ads
Ideal Browser blocks band-width sucking ads, web bugs, and other stuff you don't want to see. Hate pop-up ads? Ideal Browser blocks un-requested pop-ups!

Firefox blocks popup ads right out of the box. Banner ads can be blocked
with the appropriate extension.
4. Save Time
Open websites on separate tabs for lightening-fast simultaneous downloads. Control media loading for extra speed.

Tabbed browsing is already native to Firefox.
5. Stay Connected
With Ideal Browser's built in RSS reader you can stay connected to the latest news and content form your favorite websites.

RSS is already built into Firefox. Although I do prefer to use
Thunderbird for this.

Why, indeed.

From Company Information:
"IdealBrowser is brought to you by BroadSpring, Inc."

Interesting - broadspring.com shows on anti-scumware blacklists.
