IDE devices not seen after Winxp reinstall

Has anyone had that problem.
My IDE drive (not boot drive - I boot from SATA) and
my CD and DVD writers are not present in
Device Manager.
I just cannot fix it by installing, uninstalling IDE drivers.

TIA.

You have to go to your Bios and make the adjustments there.
Have to tell it to show SATA and EIDE both , (combined or enhanced mode).
Hope this helps you out.
