ID Screen Coming Up

I installed Autocad 2005 and it changed some of my settings so that the
start up procedure paused and asked me to select my ID before proceeding.
It then took ages to complete the start up and load my personal settings.

When the screen saver kicked in it also went back to the ID select screen
before it would resume.

I am the only user of the PC and find this extremely annoying!

For other reasons I have now uninstalled Autocad 2005 but still have this
same problem with the ID select screen and partial start up. How do I fix
this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Axel,

Auto CAD more than likely installed .Net framework which in turn makes you
select user at startup and when returning from screensaver. Download Tweak
UI powertool for windows xp.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

Install it and then open it, click the + beside logon click autologon and
enter your credentials. This will take care of your startup problem. The
screensaver could need to have a setting changed as well. Right click on
your desktop and go to properties. Display properties window will come up.
Click on Screensaver and uncheck the "On resume password protect" check box.
Hope this helps good luck.

Joe,

Tried what you suggested.

Screensaver solved, thanks.

Dowloaded and installed Tweak UI and made the changes. It works a couple of
times when booting up then reverts back, the autologon box somehow becomes
unchecked. I have reset several times now.

Can I not just uninstall this .Net framework? Or any other suggestions?
