ICS with Bridged adapters

Hi

I have a strange query, going to post in networking and in help/support, now I'm not sure if anyone has come across this befor but here goes:

I am running a 3 card system with WinXP Pro, card "a" is linked to a cable modem, card "b" to a internal LAN (hub) and card "c" is a wireless lan, I have set the pc up to share the internet connection from card "a" to card's "b & c" via a network bridge, I am getting the DHCP IP allocation to the clients ok after forcing compatability mode on the wireless lan card, but here comes the problem, I get an IP address, I can resolve pingable addresses eg www.lycos.com but I can not ping anywhere, nor can I browse the web, by a name or number convention, does anyone have any idea as to why this isnt working and how I might fix it ( and please buying a hub / wlan access point is not an option

Thanks for any assistance that anyone can shed
please copy me at my email address so I know there is updates on the thread thank

The first thing I'd do is un-share and then re-share the cable modem
connection. That might fix everything.

I assume that you've already tried the steps in this Microsoft
Knowledge Base article:

Bridge May Not Work With a Non-Promiscuous Mode Network Adapter
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=302348

If the article doesn't help, determine whether the wired and wireless
networks work right when they're not bridged:

1. Disable ICS on the cable modem connection.

2. Right click and delete the network bridge.

3. Enable ICS on the cable modem connection, using the internal LAN
connection for the home network. Don't let it create a bridge.

4. See if the computer(s) on the internal LAN can access the Internet.

5. Disable ICS on the cable modem connection.

6. Enable ICS on the cable modem connection, using the wireless
connection for the home network. Don't let it create a bridge.

7. See if the computer(s) on the wireless network can access the
Internet.
