How do I get the textbox under my desktop icons to be
transparent??? I've tried many thing in Display Properties
and still can't figure it out.

1) System Properties> Advanced> Performance> Settings> Visual Effects.
Place check in box next to "Use drop shadows for icon labels."

2) Right click the desktop and select Arrange Icons By... and uncheck "Lock
Web Items to desktop."
