Bill H.

I tried to change the icon on an .exe file, and all I get is a blank area,
like a piece of paper.

I clicked on the change icon button, and selected from the pifmgr.dll that
came up.

What gives?

Works fine here with pifmgr.dll here (assuming you meant a shortcut to an
exe).

Sometimes there can be a problem with a particular icon. Try another one and
see if that works ok.

yeah, that's the file of icons I used.

I tried several, and none worked.

Some desktop setting getting in the way??

Sometimes the problem is that the size in pixels of the icons is too small
for your desktop settings. Right click on your Desktop, select View, then
select Classic Icons. Let me know if this helps.

Hi,
Itried to as this as seperate question but was not able to! Do not
understand. Regarding icons, I have double icons for standard and admin.
Appeared after Micro Office installed. Also, icons will just appear on
desktop for trial products. Please help.

Hey, Hey, nice idea.

Didn't work, though.

And I'd expect all the icons that come with Vista to work with Vista, in all
senses.

:-)

Hi Bill H--

Have you tried rt. click desktop>personalize>Window color and
appearance>open classic appearance properties>advanced>Icon>Size pulldown?
