Icons

I set my control panel and some areas for icons views.
When I reboot they are back to lists. I have the remember
folder settings checked, but to no avail. Also my volume
icon does not show up after a reboot. I have to control
panel and uncheck the show icon button then apply then
recheck the shoe buuton and apply then it shows up.

Help.
