Please excuse me if this has already been answered. I tried to search for
something on my question but could not find anything.

I have a number of links in my Quick Launch bar. I usually right click and
open up "properties" and change the icons to something that will remind me
what they link to. But, it seems like about every two or three days they all
go back to the blue E thing. Is there something I'm not doing right?

Right-click the shortcut, click Properties, select the icon you prefer,
click the General tab, click "Read Only". That should make it
impossible for Windows to change the icon on you again.. I hope..
