Icons on taskbar are too big

Help! I was in the "Accessibility Options" menu and clicked the "Configure
windows...." option and it automatically selected the usual text size for
windows, and I selected that and clicked NEXT, and it just re-set the icons
to the normal (smaller) size, but now the minimize/maximize buttons and bar
at the top of the display windows are small.

Anyone know how I can remedy this? it's so annoying!

right click on your desktop
go to properties
from the THEMES select windows XP and the sizes will come back to normal..
sometimes you may need to restart

Adding to what John said:

You could try a System Restore rollback to a date where the icons were
looking fine.
