Icons not appearing like they are suppose to...

Good Evening,

Each time that I save a web page/favorite to my desktop, it appears as a
strange white Windows icon with a few colors instead of the IE icon.

Each time that I save an Adobe Reader file to my desktop or a folder, the
same strange white Windows icon appears.

Instead of having to right click the icon, go to properties and change the
icon to what it is suppose to be. I would like to have the icon appear as it
is suppose to appear. How would I go about doing this?

I have only recently encountered this problem.

Your Assistance is Greatly Appreciated...

Hi,

Probably a corrupt icon cache. Locate this file and delete it:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\iconcache.db

Hello,

That did not work either.
Thanks for the program, it "tweaked" some other things for me.
