Icons in Start/All Programs list

Hi All,
It is a small organization thing but I would like to put my icons back
in the area that is reached via Start/All Programs/ and then associated
with the specific program. I simply can't figure out how to do it.

I want to remove the icons from my desktop.
I know I can delete those, but how do I get the icons back to the Programs
menu???

For example, once I drag the Word icon from Start/All Programs/Microsoft
Office
onto my desktop, the Word icon is gone from the All Programs list. How do I
get it back in that list?

Thanks much for any help!!!

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu and create short cuts
to the programs you want.

Click on the desktop shortcut you want to move with you're
right mouse button.
While holding down the right mouse button drag the shortcut to
your Start button.
The Start Menu should pop up.
Drag the shortcut over "All Programs".
The All Programs menu should now be displayed.
Keep dragging the shortcut until you arrive at the proper
location.
Once you have dragged the shortcut to the proper location
release the right mouse button.
Select Move from the drop down menu that pops up.

In the future, when you want to create desktop shortcuts to
programs that are on your Start Menu right click the programs
icon and select Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut).

Right click the start button and select Explore or Explore All Users. This
will open two Explorer windows: one showing the start menu folders for your
account and the other showing those belonging to the All Users account.

Shortcuts dropped into the All Users folder show up for, well, all users.
For shortcuts that you want appearing in your user account only, drop them
into your start menu folders.
