Icons changing back to the default

I use different icons for Recycle Bin and My Network. Suddenly they started
changing back to the Win default icons after a little while.
I have tried Power Toys Tweak UI and Kelleys corner reg change but neither
has helped. This isn't an earthshaking problem but it is making me crazy! I
need someone's expert help!

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Clsid

Right click the folder icon and select Permissions/Advanced/Add/System.
Put a check in the Deny column for the Set Value permission.
Ok your way out.

The ones for the recycle Bin (and its name) are held in the registry at
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\Explorer\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}]

There are some things - some installers and updates - that persist in
erasing the data there, so I set it up as I want, then export the key,
so it is work of a moment to restore from the exported file - r-click,
Merge, and then refresh the Desktop with F5

Network places I think you will find at a similar key . . .
CLSID\{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}

The name of the icon is the (default) at both
