icons and multile users

I am listed as administrator, but when my daughter who is only listed as a user, either removes icons . runs desktop cleanup or created a folder for shortcuts on her desktop. all my icons disappeared as well. How do I prevent this from happening

Check/change your settings here:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Change:

CommonDesktop
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Desktop

To:

CommonDesktop
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop

All this did was double up most of my icons on my screen and delete some
others.
