Icons All Messed Up!

I've been using XP since it came out, and I've never had this problem
before. Here's a screenshot:

The icons (everywhere - system tray, Start menu, etc.) are messed up. I
think they are larger than they are supposed to be. This is how it
happened:

I was cleaning my Start menu up, and I decided to see what the
Accessibility Wizard was. The first question it asked what "What font
size can you see best?", so I picked the smallest one. I then clicked
Cancel, because I thought it was retarded, and told it not to save my
changes. That's when it messed up all my icons. I closed / restarted
explorer.exe, and restarted my computer multiple times.

What can I do to fix this?

Hi, Tony:

Probably your "Caption Buttons" setting is set to a higher number than the
default one:

1. Click Start, Run.

2. Type (without the quotation marks) "desk.cpl" and press ENTER.

3. Click the Appearance tab.

4. Choose the Advanced button.

5. Select "Caption Buttons" in the Item list.

6. Set the "Size" value to 25 (default).

7. Click OK twice to close all dialog boxes.

Let us know.

It was already set to 25. I went ahead and clicked OK twice, but it
didn't change anything.

Should I try to make it smaller?

OK, I was able to reproduce your problem, Tony.

Select "Windows XP" theme from the Themes tab (don't care if it is already
selected, expand the drop-down list and click "Windows XP"). Then click OK,
log off, log on again and see the results.

Hope this helps.

YES! It works perfectly. Thank you so much. That was such a help - I
couldn't stand the horrific icons on my Start menu and system tray.

Whew - it looks beautiful again. :)

Thanks again,
-Tony

P.S. Thanks to this group for the awesome, quick, simple, and fast
help. I will definately be returning for any problems I have in the
future.
